You are so very right, again. Aside from my professional work, I already tried to transfer information about alternative methods to other groups, where it is normally not discussed, but where there are people suffering and describing their many ailments they receive from their meds.

One thing, I cannot do this alone because of lack of time, second I feel sometimes very uncertain whether I can make myself understood, because I am non-English (I do a lot of dictiionary work, but it is also the style of writing and putting words together that I am not so familiar with. This makes up a cultural difference. Some things might sound queer to English ears when I say them). Third there was a "dragon" on the group, alas, not sweet Eliot, but spitting flames on me and referring to quackbuster from where he seemed to have all his "wisdom". The group did not even know that the quackbusters have lost all their lawsuits and the judge gave them in written form that they simply lack the knowledge to speak about alternative treatments, they are no longer allowed to call themselves experts in the field, and also, they did their testimony in court FOR MONEY. Some people just give credit to the wrong authorities. Some poeple give credit to those who are mainstream, a synonym of success by power and money, not by knowledge and expertise.

Concerning newspapers I can only give my experience from over here, maybe the system is totally different where you live. Here the newspapers, magazines etc. cannot survive by their subscribers. They are too few. The newspapers are dependent from advertisements of the big firms. It is they who are really providing them with money to survive. Well, that is what I call a back stage censuring. Pharmfirms are the most powerful in money, worldwide. Even more powerful than computer industry. They were the first global players. So guess who is controlling the media, over here.

Long story short:

I believe in grassroots movements. The internet is ideal for that. And I believe in a saying of ours: "People vote by their feet." I go where I can buy the things I need for my health. If they do not have it, I ask them, whether they can order it for me. If they cannot or will not, I say bye-bye with a smile, and go to those who do it for me. Next thing: I talk about where I had my good experiences around here.

I hope this comes very close to your idea of spreading the news among those who suffer and want to get better.
