I just had to write and tell another part of my story...in hopes that maybe some of the ladies might find hope in it and maybe get some results. Every night when I use to sign on and read the posting's from all the fellow sisters in pain from these awful implants...I would get depressed. 3 years ago I was 260 pounds. On Heart medication, because my doctor thought I might have had a heart attack and ready for another. I was on Blood Pressure Medicine. I was on Gluctrol for borderline diabetes (high blood sugar). My Triglycerides were over 600. My Liver enzymes were elevated....etc. etc. My doctor gave me pills, said I had Lupus like symptoms, joint pains, Heart problems, Headaches...etc. etc. like everyone else...and I was only 38. He also agreed with me that probably most of my problems were coming from the implants. I was so glad I found someone to listen to me. That was all 3 years ago. This is not a commercial, please bear with me and read on, some of it might make some sense. Then I found the " Protein Power Plan " . It is a diet plan made up by to doctors (Dr. Eades). Yeah, it is one of those High Protein, Low Carb diets, and I use to be a vegetarian years ago, so I wasn't really open to the idea of a lot of meat. But I listened to their tapes for a couple of days and even called them on the phone. Everything they taught in the tapes made sense. I did some checking to back up what they were talking about. For instance: That our Food Pyramid that Nutritionist and doctors always show us was made up about 50+ years ago. It is almost identical to the food pyramid that we use to fatten up cows, pigs and all livestock that we want to get big so we can eat them later. Now I know most of the ladies on this site knows that if you don't drink enough water that your body starts to retain it, because it thinks it is not going to get enough so we hold on to it until we start drinking enough. Our bodies do the same thing with Fats. If you don't give it a balanced amount it retains what you put into it. The low fat diets never really lowered my Cholesterol much and I didn't know why. And even if I did loose some weight I would still be flabby, not firm. The low fat products make up taste with more carbs and sugar. And all Carbs turns into sugar...that is a proven fact, even complex carbs. I know some people need more carbs, like athletes...runners, but not as much as you would think...but I didn't fit into that category at the time anyways. Most doctors will argue with you on this....but Nothing can compare to all the blood results that I have seen on so many people after starting this new way of eating. I don't want to sound preachy, but I have to tell you some of the details of how I got to where I was going. There is a lot more to this diet than just what I put here in writing of course. Well, within the first week I lost 9 pounds and every week after that, it was somewhere between 2-5 pounds a weeks. With In 3 weeks I had my blood tested again. My blood sugar was that of a normal person, my Triglycerides I went down to 180, Liver normal etc. etc. and it is has gotten and stayed even better than that ever since. Oh, and I got down to 125 pounds within 9 months and I have no problem at all maintaining it. I eat more fruits and vegetables now more than ever before. A lot of people seem to think that low Carb means just meat (which is unhealthy). I started watching different ethnics and how they eat (including mine). The ones who has a main diet of Starch's. (Rice: I mean like a lot of it, not like the Orientals who know more how to combine and not over due), Potatoes, bread etc. The sweet vegetables like corn and peas, which are high in carbs (of course they are full of sugar). It really all made sense to me. And they even teach people how to eat higher proteins, lower carbs if you're a vegetarian or don't like eating a lot of meat. I know there are a lot of other diets out there that is similar, and might be more curtailed to your taste...but I think they are worth a look at too. I went to a heart doctor and he could find nothing wrong with my heart, no more lung problems. He said that he had found in his practice that the EKG's would not always be normal for woman with Breast Implants, because somehow they interfere with the EKG. He didn't know how, but he had seen several hundred cases with it, and did more kinds of testing on the women's hearts who had implants. He told me I was healthy and took me off all those medications that was making me more sleepy, sick to my stomach etc. etc. Of course my regular doctor could hardly believe that he would make such a mistake, but the evidence was in the testing. I do believe mostly in Alternative Medicine (Such as: Chealtion, Vitamins, Colonics etc.) I think all of that makes a HUGE difference. The funny thing is, I still have family members who has seen this drastic change in me and my health and still they can't give up their breads, pasta's etc. and complain all the time about how high their Triglycerides are and how cold or hot they are from bad circulation. They keep on with their wonderful drugs that is just keeping them alive and not curing them. And some give that excuse of genetics...and I know that can play a big part of who you are but so does bad eating habits handed down the generations...something's can be changed that might help or better yet save your life as it has mine. But I do have several other family members and friends that did listen and regained their health...Bad habits die-hard I guess for others. Sometimes just the diagnosis that you may never get better or are going to get sicker than you are now can do more damage and actually cause you to get worse...the brain is a very powerful thing and not to under estimated when given a death sentence. Please don't think for 1 minute that I think that all these problems from these horrible implants is all in our heads. The Chemical Soup in these Time Bombs can't help but give us problems, even if it wasn't for the chemical's IT IS STILL A FOREIGN OBJECT that our bodies will always try to get rid of...which is where the Chronic Fatigue comes from...which at least all of us here knows. I just wanted to give some food for thought...and hope that we will all always keep an open mind. You know the " God Complex " that a lot of doctors get...well we sometimes put them their...and believe anything they say...more drugs...sure I'll try another one...anything that can help...vitamins couldn't help that much. Well if they can make mistakes like putting implants in us and not think for a minute that it could harm us...just think how they can be wrong on all sorts of others things...they are only human and can make mistakes...All I am saying is always guest ion and don't ever stop looking for answers. Looking to God for answer's never hurt anyone, but sometimes he needs a little help in getting us to learn how to LISTEN. God and we are in charge not the doctors, don't ever forget this. I know that sometimes you get so tired of being sick that you just feel like giving up, but if something's can improve with some changes, I feel it's worth a look. We are women who should never be under estimated...lets try and regain our strengths...stop letting them take our power away. There is always HOPE and a chance to get better if only you believe...without the belief that there's a chance...there is nothing. And Please don't think that I think that a lot of you aren't sick...I just wanted to give you more options to look at. I in no way think I have all the answers, but I know that I am a heck of lot better now after 20 years of being sick. I will probably get problems from time to time, and not get rid of some of my symptoms (like the hives I had for 3 months, which I am happy to report are all gone after my surgery), but at least I can face them head on knowing I am at least looking at as many angles of this thing as I can...and I am always welcoming new answers, esp. like some of the great one's I have received from a lot of you....THANKS to Ilena, the beautiful soul that she is. Much Love to All of you I hope that this might have helped some of you. Poofter
