Guest guest
" ...If you see bare islands of naked, reddish tongue surrounded by the normel pink color, it often indicates a food allergy. This is called a geographic tongue because the bald, naked patches make the tongue look like a map. These changes can occur within a few hours after certain offending foods are eaten. The tongue may appear abnormal for several days...If someone's tongue has a very thick white or grayish-white coating most of the time, this suggest a possible chronic overgrowth of yeast.... This is from the book " Is this your child " by Doris Rapp...hope it will help. Jasmina Naleid

Guest guest
After reading the posts and doing some research on line, I have made a determination that I do not have geographical tongue, rather I have glossodynia. Geographical tongue supposedly does not hurt and when my tongue flairs up it definitely does. Do a www.google.com search and enter glossodynia or geographical tongue. You will be able to find links that give distinctions between the wo. Further, that is why my tongue gets better with the B Complex--that is in line with what I read about glossodynia.
