Hey Jackie,

Congratulations on your approval! This is awesome! It sounds like you have alot on your plate coming up in the next few months. Wow! But I am sure you are so relieved to know that it is handled and those bags of soup are coming out of you! If you could get them out before the wedding that would be great, but I can see your desire in being able to just get through the wedding first and being able to relax afterwards. Hard decision.

I hope you are over the headache and sluggish feeling, (hopefully it wasn't a cold--my husband has one now and it has hung around for almost a week. But I didn't get it! Must be my overactive immune system slinging bullets at anything that comes its way). The lack of energy is very frustrating, but once those implants come out, you should see gradual improvements in that area.

Are you still on the Diflucan? Are you noticing anything from it? I have thought about taking it, but I am not too keen on taking the prescription drugs at all. I know there are natural ways to deal with candida, but they take forever it appears. Hard decision here, too!

I joined a Candida list on , and I am surprised at how sick these people are from the systemic yeast. They are just as bad as we are. I asked if anyone had implants on the list, and I did not get one reply. But these people are really struggling with alot of the symptoms--brain fog, memory problems, concentration difficulties, fatigue, no social life, sick for years and years and years. Most of them are on natural therapies, so I hope to get some good ideas from them. It sounds like you are pretty familiar with the systemic yeast already, Jackie. I know the yeast diet is very strict, and probably very, very hard to follow. One lady on another group said she cured her yeast by eating nothing but raw meat for 2 years. That really impressed me! (yecchh) I am working my way up to a meat and veggie only diet. I have been 100% successful with the no chocolate resolution I made at the New Year! Now, I need to cut out sugar, flour products, and dairy 100% too.

I have done several liver cleanses. They are not too bad, and I have seen results in the toilet the next morning. The hardest part for me is the epsom salts ( or magnesium citrate that I have substituted). I do think they can be beneficial, but I have also read of another type of liver cleanse where you drink only cold pressed olive oil and fresh lemon juice, (no magnesium sulfate or citrate), and this helped one woman avoid surgery completely for gallstones. I would also suggest the kidney cleanse and parasite cleanse as well. It gets a bit overwhelming....but I do think detoxing our bodies are key.

I hope you do get to take part in the lawsuit. I have not even gone down that road, as I knew I didn't have a chance. (got them in too late) If you are able to get in it, it may be worth the effort. The manufacturer's really do need to know just how many women they have harmed with these faulty devices, and take responsibility for it.

Take care and congratulations again on your explant approval!

Hi Patty and all,

I woke up this morning with one of those headaches that told me that my hubby had successfully passed on his cold. Now in all fairness I am taking alot of supplements that are probably creating a die off effect to some degree so this could very well be a reaction to my body cleaning itself out but oh what the hell.....I love to blame him for every thing anyways. lol Just kidding.

I'm a little more sluggish today and moody altho I did forget to take my supplements for depression. Patty I have been on Diflucan for the past 2 weeks, ran out about 3 days ago and noticed that the burning returned when I stopped so I went back to the docs today and got another prescription for 4 weeks this time. At the end of 4 weeks if we still haven't gotten this yeast somewhat under control I asked him if he would just scout around for a new body for me. He said he would see what he could do. I asked him for one that would make my brain work better. He's working on it.

Never done a liver cleanse but I think I'm about to and have actually been drinking lots of water with lemon in it which is supposed to help cleanse the liver. I'm thinking I need to do something. Have you done one?

I have not read that book yet but will maybe borrow my girlfriends and give it a whirl. Patty I have suspected Candida for the past year and a half and have tried to stay strict on the diet but must admit I can make it about 3 weeks tops being super strict and then I cheat or cave in for some treat that has flavor in it. I do feel alot better and more clear headed when I remain sugar free so that will be my goal for the next 2 months. I say 2 months because I got a call from my PS's office today saying that my explant has been approved by the medical board. They will pay for the removal. Sue is going to send me the consent form to sign and when she receives it back in their office she will book the surgery. She said it looks to be about 2 mos. I'm ok with that because I want this time to not only adjust but to also do a series of cleanses that will help make me stronger for surgery. I feel with the condition of my body right now if I went under anesthetic I would probably get very sick as a result. I've got 2 mos to get healthier and stronger for this blessed event or I might even book it for the end of May. My youngest step daughter is getting married May 26 and I'm making the wedding dress. If my health permits, I might just wait until that splendid event is finished so I can just relax and take care of myself. I know it would be best to have them out asap but if I can't get the surgery date until the beginning of May which is what Sue is indicating then I might as well work it around my schedule so I'm less stressed in the long run.

I also wanted to share this note I received from a lawyer I believe, to whom I had made an inquiry about the class action law suit against Dow Corning. She had originally told me to contact a lawyer here in Vancouver but because the closing date was April 2000 she didn't feel I could be a part of it. Here's something she sent me today.

Ms. Dyer,

Previously you contacted our office with respect to the Dow Class Action. At that time, we informed you that you had missed the deadline for filing an opt in form for the BC settlement. The deadline has now been extended to March 1/01. Please reply with your forwarding address if you would like our office to send you an opt in form.

Yours truly,

Joan

Class Action Assistant

I don't know where this will take me but I felt it was worth a try to perhaps get reimbursed some of my money I have put out if anything comes of it. I have forwarded my address to her. I probably could continue rambling here but I think I'll stop now and go to bed and read. Thanks for being here for me and anyone else who needs this support. It really means alot to me.....Jackie

, good for you. I'm so pleased to hear that you have been able to identify which supplement is helping you and easing the pain. I've heard MSM is good and infact started to take some last summer but stopped cause I had too many other supplements to get into me in one day. I still have 2 unopened bottles......one day. Take care and stay well.

Hey everyone. I found out that my pain issues were most likely related to the MSM and Malic acid that I had abruptly stopped taking one month ago. I realized on Saturday while talking about my pain with my husband, we figured out that after I had been with him in Idaho that I had stopped taking the MSM and the Malic Acid. I immediatly started taking it again and now, 4 days later my pain is greatly reduced and whats even more interesting is my energy is also improved. I am really sure that the pain is better because of the msm, and I just wanted to share with anyone on this group who suffers from this typed of pain that these supplements are apparently pretty effective. Of course having my wonderful husband rubbing my feet for me everynight didn't hurt either. LOL.Just to let everyone know about whats going on with me, I will not be starting the plaquenil at this time, since my pain is really almost gone at this point, I do still suffer from slight brain fog, but it seems to be less and less and that is great news. I am also thiking the noni juice might be helping me, but at this time it really is hard to say, I guess I would have to go off it like I did with the other stuff to say for sure what is what.I hope everyone is doing well. It is good to be almost entirely off pain meds.

Well here is the latest from me, I stopped all my supplements and

quit the plaquenil, it was too strong for my tummy, blah. Well all I

am doing now is noni juice. I feel great right now. Maybe I don't

need all that stuff. I am really doing well on nothing. Hmmm well I

will let you all know how it goes, but I have had lots of energy and

been joggin(12 miles so far this week) so this is an interesting

thing to me. I do wake up stiff and sore, but it goes away once I get

moving. Part of it is working(12 hours yesterday) cause we have a big

project here in my department, very busy.

well I am experimenting here..we will see what happens and god bless

all of you.

Hi ,

You know, I just took a break from my supplements for a short period too,

and then started to feel crappy again. I went back on my supplements, and I

have been feeling great, and back to normal! It is strange, but I have

heard other people say that they need to take a break from their supplements

every once in awhile, too. I know that even on some herbs labels, such as

echinacea and goldenseal, they say to take it for a period of time and then

take a break from it. So, maybe this is an important aspect of taking the

herbs and supplements? At least for me, I know that I have had several

periods where I have gone on supplements full bore, and then back off of

them for awhile and I feel better for it.

I think, at least for me, this is a wise thing to do. It gives my body a

break from all the extra " stuff " I am putting in me, but then gives me a

chance to build back up again.

This concept is part of Dr. Bernard Jensen's internal cleansing protocol.

He has a 7 day fasting cleanse, followed by a 7 week rebuilding period. He

says to alternate this fasting and rebuilding cycle for about 6 months to a

year.

Sounds like a plan for me.

Take care.

Patty

well I am still amazed at how much better it is going since I stopped

all the supplements and also the plaquenil, wich I never really took

much of. I went jogging again yesterday and it was great. I am

feeling great so lets hope it lasts!
