Subject: The 6th Circuit Court's Briefing Schedule for Appeals

The 6th Circuit Court's Briefing Schedule for Appeals On May 3, 2001, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals established a briefing schedule for appeals from Judge Page Hood's order confirming the Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization. The order granted the TCC and Dow Corning motion asking that all of the appeals be consolidated into one briefing schedule. The schedule is as follows: April 23, 2001 (established by prior court order) - briefs of those appealing Judge Hood's order must be filed June 6, 2001 - brief of New Zealand claimants' brief appealing Judge Hood's order must be filed July 6, 2001 - briefs of Dow Corning and the TCC responding to the appeals must be filed July 20, 2001 -- reply briefs by those appealing Judge Hood's order must be filed July 27, 2001 - consolidated joint appendix must be filed August 10, 2001 - all parties' final briefs must be filed. A date for oral argument on the appeals has not been set. There are no other developments or updates in the case to report at this time.
