Tapazole and low platelets??

You might want to try Thyrocalm, a very strong concoction of herbs used to

treat hyperthyroidism (bugleweed, lemon balm) that doesn't have the risk of

low platelets. You have to have it prescribed through a doctor or

naturopath, it's manufactured by Temperature Syndrome, they have a

website. Start at a high dose (6 pills/day) and then taper down as your

levels come into range.

Sorry you're dealing with so many things at once! Good luck!

Hi Everyone..

Thank you for all the posts. I tried to read them when I can :)

I'm a 37 year old female with a blood disease called

thrombocytopenia purpora (low blood platelets). I carry mine very

low. I also have severe low blood sugar. I was just diagnosed

with hyperthyriodism...again LOW!!

My doctor feels that the hyperthyroid is causing my severe low blood

sugar. Anyway, I am currently on beta blockers because my heartrate

averages between 88 and 112....scary!! The doc suggested getting

the radioactive iodine treatment but I'm scared. I've been reading

on Tapazole and apparently it can cause low blood platelets

(bleeding) so I can't take it :( I have been increasing my

calcium/mag, iron/copper, B's and Boron but haven't improved. The

doctor is retesting me in less than 2 months.

I feel like I'm at the end of my wits. I'm scared and I don't know

if doing the RAI treatment would be wise. I'm really considering it

though because I can't stand the way I feel. I can't exercise

because of the low blood sugar and heart rate...I eat allll day.

I also have osteopenia (a step away from ostoeperosis)!!!

HELP! ANY advice would be sooo appreciated.

Thank you!

Kim
