Guest guest
Hi Terri, I started feeling just like you describe in '95 -- after 20 years of "Dow's Lifetime Silicone Implants"! Once I accepted the 'truth', my health was down-spiraling so fast for the first time, I honestly thought I was going to die before my explant surgery date. When I got a call from my PS's office saying they could move my surgery up 4-days, I couldn't get ready fast enough. I cannot begin to tell you the 'peace' that came over me the night before my surgery the next morning -- like someone lifting an elephant from my shoulders. Although this was initially the most painful surgery I had every had, I felt sooo much relief, and after the first week realized many of my seriously debilitating symptoms left me, and have NEVER returned. Although I'm not totally well to this day, I was so much better after the first couple of years -- I found I could funtion more normally, was less anxious, and could accomplish alot, as long as I "paced myself". This was a hard lesson to learn because on my first really 'good days', I would really over-do, then take 2-steps backward for doing so. I quickly got over my concern about "no boobs -- again", and most of the time never think about using any padding, etc. anymore. I'm so happy to be able to get up, get dressed, and accomplish something worthwhile; I couldn't care less about my debacled chest! That has nothing to do with who I am! I hope that you are able to find some relief from your pain. That would be awful to live with everyday. Fortunately I don't, but did have a brief period last year where for about a month I had pain in my hands. I couldn't handle even bumping them because they hurt so bad. That has subsided thank goodness. We're here for ya Terri. Patti I have a question.....In the past when I have received a post like Terri's that looks like it has been forwarded I have not responded mainly because I wasn't sure if the post would get back to her. Can you tell me why it has been forwarded just so I understand. I don't want other women to feel they are being ignored here and yet I'm not sure if my response will go to them or not. Sincerely, confused. lol Jackie ----- Original Message ----- From: Patty Sent: Monday, March 12, 2001 5:51 PM Subject: Fw: Hi to everyone From: <Proshpr36@...>Sent: Monday, March 12, 2001 10:07 AMSubject: Hi to everyone> My name is Terri I am a new member, My symptoms came on overnight andhaven't> let up in fact they seem to be progressing rather rapidly, I know what you> all mean when you say at times you feel like your dying!! Can you tell me why it has been forwarded just so I understand. I don't want other women to feel they are being ignored here and yet I'm not sure if my response will go to them or not. Sincerely, confused. lol Jackie Jackie, and everyone else: I forward messages from my own e-mail box that are either relevant to Saline Support, or intended for Saline support. When it is relevant to Saline Support, I will write at the top of the letter "Respond to" and then the e-mail address that was in the header of the message that I am forwarding. When you respond to this person, it is mainly for their encouragement and to give them help as they go through this. Generally, they are not members of Saline Support, but of Ilena's group or people who write me directly. I have asked Ilena about posting her letters and she has given her blessings. If you want the Saline Support group to see the letter you send to the other person, you can do a cc (carbon copy, or courtesy copy) to the group as well. In Terri's case, she mentioned to me that she was not sure if her posts were coming through to the group. She is a member of Saline Support already. I noticed her last letter came through only to my e-mail address, but it was clearly intended for the group. In this case, you can just hit "reply" and your letter will come back to the Saline Support group, as it should. Hope this clears that up for you! Guest guest
You have a good attitude Martha. Thanks for sharing. I know I'm ready to have these implants removed and hopefully enjoy my life and health moreso than what I am now. I do know that I will probably try the herbs that Patty is trying right now to see if they will help rebuild some of the lost breast tissue as they say they will. Take care, Jackie ----- Original Message ----- From: MARTHA Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2001 11:46 AM Subject: Re: Hi Terri Hi Terri, I started feeling just like you describe in '95 -- after 20 years of "Dow's Lifetime Silicone Implants"!
