In a previous post, I told you all, how the endo put me on half a

tablet ( a few days before xmas)and then in a month's time I'm

supposed to do a month of no meds. until I see him next. Well I have

been getting all the hyper symptoms I haven't had for a very long

time..rapid heart beat, diarrhea, anxiety, and yesterday afternoon my

mother looked at me and remarked that my neck was larger, she has

never seen it look so big. I asked her when she first noticed this

and she said within the last week!

I live at home with my parents, and they were worried and said you

have to go back on one tablet..actually my father is mad and wants me

to get a new endo. So I started back on one full tablet this morning.

I know that you are all wondering why don't I call the doctor first,

but he is away on holidays and I can't get a hold of him until the

29th of this month. I will try to get a hold of my GP today to let

him know what is going on. My bf thinks maybe the doctor has done

this, so he can say see you aren't improving we will have to do the

RAI. When I do vist him next if he mentions the RAI, I intend to ask

him a few questions before I tell him no..such as how many patients

have you had that have done RAI? over what period? and how many had

negative outcomes? I'm asking this knowing that he won't be able to

give me a satisfactory answer as I'm thinking he might be lacking

experince.

The endo is in his late 30's to early 40's..everytime I go there, all

his other patients are in their 60's and 70's..so I'm wondering just

how many he is treating for actual thyriod conditions, and on my

first couple of vists when I would try and ask a question he would

get stern with me and rattle off 5 or 6 common symptoms of hyperT and

say that if its outside of that it has nothing to do with your

thyriod, it was so agrogant of him to do that two me at least twice.

When I first found out I got graves I became very sick, especially

nausea in the stomach and went to a gastro (went to him first before

the endo) ..turns out it was the graves making me sick, he said he

gets a lot of hyper patients, and he was more than happy to explain

graves to me and how it effects the whole body, not like that idiot

endo who can't look outside of 5 symptoms.

Sorry about the rant..just had to get it off my chest.

Hi AntJoan,

Well that endo will have to get over his God complex next time I

catch up with him. hehe

I don't know what I would do, with out all of you wonderful people

here to share with me your experiences, and offer me advice. It's

obvious I can't trust anything he tells me.
