Guest guest Posted August 19, 2003 Report Share Posted August 19, 2003 Hi Pam, Your liver enzyme results are only slightly elevated and may likely still be related to hyperthyroidism. 0.15 is a fairly high starting dose of levothyroxine after RAI. If the dose is too high that could contribute to the mild elevation. In some people small amounts of alcohol or acetaminophen (tylenol), acutane, cholesterol-lowering meds or estrogens can also cause elevations of liver enzymes. In hepatitis we see very high elevations (in the thousands). It never hurts to get more lab tests for baseline levels.
