Guest guest
I should have pointed out that the goal of this Committee to hear about silicone induced illness is to decide on the value of legislation aimed at eliminating the Statute of limitations on silicone disease. This is very important. As it stands now, most states have a statute of limitations (as to when you can bring a lawsuit) of 2 years and in some cases 3 years from the time of the ONSET of your illness, whenever that is. However, for many people who are harmed by any type of implant, whether it be chin, cheek, breast, shin, joint, hip, knee, (or whatever), the determination of your illness, let alone the cause, takes longer than that. Not to mention the fact that doctors keep telling us it is all in our heads and that the implants are not to blame. This bill is aimed at allowing some measure of justice for those harmed by implants of any kind who have been left with no recourse when they've finally realized that they've been sick from their implants all along. This only makes sense, and I hope that this bill will gain full support, as silicone induced disease takes different courses and lengths of time to manifest itself. e, please tell me more about your lawsuit. A Class action is just what we need. There is going to be a hearing on silicone induced illness on Thursday, April 26th in Carson City, NV, with video teleconferencing from Las Vegas for those who wish to testify. I will be testifying, however, we are individually limited to 5 minutes. I have encouraged any and all women who wish to have their voices heard to write out their story and send this information to these important people. They need to hear our stories! It sounds like you already have a great testimony--please write and share it, even if you don't live in Nevada. As I said, these people need to hear from us and our silicone induced illness. Here are the addresses again, for the benefit of all: Assemblywoman Kathy McClain at kmcclain@... Claudette (Attache to Assemblywoman Kathy McClain)cthompson@...
