Reliv does have bars. They're called, UltraBars. I like the

Raspberry-carob ones. They're not specifically designed for weight

loss, but you'll certainly get all the nutrition that you need while you're

losing. They've got almost the same nutritional formulation as the

basic nutrition product, but they cost more because of the convenience

factor. They work, though!

I've seen someone talking about Myasthenia Gravis on the message board

recently, too. I'll go dig and see what I can find out for you.

you must get rid of the antigens that caused them. I think that's

the way he said it. When we get my Grandmother into remission (please

pray to God) then I am contemplating going to have him treat me with this

antiviral drug. thanks Kim

Dick, I've forwarded this article to the Product Information department

at Reliv and asked for a comment from Dr. Hastings. Personally, I

think the article smacked of government beaurocracy. No wonder it

takes so long to get anything done in this country! I understand

them wanting to watch their backsides, but it so inhibits anything good

from being approved. Lord knows how long it will take for approval

when we finally do find a cure for the common cold! Pharmaceutical

companies the world over will fight it to the end.

Here's the reply that I received from the company regarding human

consumption of soy:

November 5, 2001

Dear Donna,

Thank you for your e-mail inquiry and the article on soy. Dr. Carl is

aware

of this article and others, although he is not in agreement with all

that is

published.

There are many Reliv' consumers with thyroid conditions whom are

successfully consuming our products. The NOW and Classic are both

equally

effective.

We have not heard of any research that has been done that indicates

soybeans

to have an adverse affect on thyroid performance. However, the Reliv'

products do not fall into the category of raw soybeans. Reliv'

believes

that soy is very beneficial to one's health and in many countries

individuals have been consuming soy for centuries. If there is a

health

problem where numerous medications are being taken or diet is a

concern, we

always stress that the consumer seeks the advice of the attending

physician.

The physician knowing the full extent of the patient's health history

would

be the most qualified to make the necessary recommendations. Reliv'

does

keep a very close eye on developments occurring within the nutritional

supplement/ingredient markets. It is Reliv's goal to provide consumers

with

the highest quality products possible. There are bound to be

controversies

when something becomes as popular as soy.

Feel free to contact me should you need anything further.
