Hi Jon,

Just a quick note that the findings of the study for flaxseed oil are are the

very bottom of the article that I included with my first post, (in case you

want to skip the bio-chemical info which is very technical)

Lee:

Thank you for the information on Flaxseed oil. I read through many of the

topics and feel that it is really worth trying. My sister buys the tiny

flaxseeds and puts them on her cereal to help combat her irritable bowel

syndrome. She says it really works.

I still have problems with my eyes in that there is so much pressure on the

back side of my eyeballs. This causes me to get into a staring or fixation

and can be quite dangerous when driving as it actually tunes me out of what

is going on around me for a few seconds. No, I don't have seizure activity.

This is related to the thyroid and I am going to check on this flaxseed as it

may help reduce the pressure from behind the eyes.

I sure appreciate your input. You have some great things to offer. Thanks.

Lori,

you can buy flax seed oil at many pharmacies, health food stores, and even in

some of the super grocery stores ( in CT at the Stop and Shop). I have just

started taking 2 full tablespoons mixed with about a half glass of orange

juice. I stir it quickly and try to glug it down without breathing. ( I do

not like the taste but I put up with it because it has helped me.) You can

buy it in capsules also , like vitamin E but it is more expensive and almost

impossible to take the number of grams equivalent to the number of grams in a

tablespoon that you pour out.

I truly hope that it helps you as much as it helped me.

Hi ,

I am using the pourable oil and mix it with orange juice in the morning. It

is not great tasting, but you can get more grams of flax seed oil for your

money that way.

I really hope that it helps you, I was so happy to find the information.

Keep me posted on your results!

Lee;

Thanks. I will check this out. I did just learn, however, that flaxseed oil

can increase heart rate. Has this happened to you?

Hello All!

I purchase my flax seed oil at the health food store encapsulated in a soft gel

capsule. Ten capsules equals two tablespoons. Yes, that's a lot to swallow,

and

it is NOT cheap, but I feel [even on my limited income] it is worth the value

for

what it has done for me. I can't tolerate the liquid. What *I* did with the

liquid was measure out a tablespoon, hold my nose and swallow it followed by a

teaspoon of salsa to take the taste out of my mouth. But, I could only get down

a tablespoon. At least with the capsules, I can get the two tablespoons down

that I need.

If you were to purchase it anywhere other than a health food store [and even if

you do] look for the cold pressed variety to ensure quality of the product.
