Guest guest
<< I was diagnosed 17 years ago. and I have had 5 episodes. So some years I am fine, but like this last year, I had it bad. Take care, I think we are supposed to go Hypo when we are old. >> ________________ Its been almost five years now and its still holding on, its not as bad or intence as it use to be but its still a problem. I always hope that when the summer heat gets here its not as bad. The shower dos'nt seem to burn my face any more and I can stand next to the wood stove for longer periods of time but the real test is summer, can I stand the heat last year was still pretty hard on me. I work outside and usally from 9am to 9pm its always a reliefe when the sun starts setting so I will wait and see. Raven _________________________________________ and Raven Thanks for replying. I'm wondering if you are still taking anti thyroid meds or if the supplement are keeping it under control. And do you have Graves or some other form. I have Graves. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Thank God both are mild to moderate. ___________ I'm wondering if anyone has found info on immune modulators being used in arthritis also helping in graves disease. I haven't found anything myself. I did read something about a reseacher thinking possibly adhesion molecules on thyrocytes cause them to present antigen to T lymphocytes Somehow I thought that had something to do with the kind of inflammation that causes arthritis. It is late at night and I am just rambling on. Ann ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Ann, I have Graves and started on Tapizol and used that untill my persciption ran out and used the rest sparily and still have one left but I don't plan on taking it. T hey gave me bata blockers for a day I quit that real fast they were terible. I haven't taken and doctor perscibed drug it the last two years. I could not stand the taste of the Tapizol in the back of my throut so I stopped that also. I took vitamins and minerals after that along with alot of herbs. Melitoin and valerian root they helped me sleep and calm down. I took Ginko boloba, Koren Ginseg, bee pollen, and alot of others they all aeemed to help. Guest guest
Hi ! You mentioned still being hyper and having had 5 episodes. Are you on any medication for hyper at this time? Or have you had to go back to meds when the episodes happen? Thanks for your reply. Guest guest
I have been off the medication (PTU) for about ayear now. Peviously, whenever I am hyper I would take the medication put on 10kgs and then be better after 1 year or so. At the moment, I am so sick of PTU that I have stopped it. I am trying to learn more about the natural way, read what suggests and see if I can fix it up. regards Re: I'm going crazy!!! Hi ! You mentioned still being hyper and having had 5 episodes.
