Guest guest
Hi and other hypos, I really feel that hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism are flip sides of the same mineral deficiency disease. I have had both and both times I have recovered by using mineral supplementation. It seems that people with thyroid problems very often flip-flop between hyper and hypo conditions, so it's important for all of us with those tendencies to understand both sides of the problem. I think the reason people alternate between hypo and hyper states is that there is a deficiency and imbalance in the minerals zinc and copper which seem to regulate the thyroid (perhaps other minerals are involved also). Zinc appears to act like the accelerator and copper the brake. Both are necessary but if one is deficient, hypo or hyper thyroidism results. I named this group hyperthyroidism because I wanted to tackle this side of the problem first, but I have every intention of gaining a complete understanding of both thyroid conditions. Perhaps eventually renaming the group may be appropriate to bring everyone with thyroid problems in. We need your and other hypothyroidics' input into our thinking and testing to make sure we totally understand all the aspects of thyroid diseases. Thank you for being a part and please--we want your input! Thanks, Your friend, ______________________________________________________________________
