Guest guest
Dear Jon, So I started the selenium (200 mcg) a zinc/copper combo of zinc (30 mg) picolinate with copper (2 mg.) and L tyrosine (500 mg) and the first day I did not feel good at all. So, I took it the second day, and I don't know. I went to one of my alternative med folk for a kidney check-up and she was alarmed that my spleen was full of a large amount of sludge and was not filtering properly, so she worked on that and then found a string on my thyroid that she tried to " burn " off. She had never checked spleen and thyroid. I figure if the spleen was not filtering properly that could be why i got sort of a medicine head from these minerals, since they were all I took, nothing else but food. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I am still going to try them, and will keep you posted. Please note this is for HYPOthyroidism, although I know sometimes emotionally I wax hyperthyroidish. Guest guest
Dear Jon, Also, I read that zinc and copper should NOT be taken during the same time of day. I read this on page 34 of the September-COtober 1998 Natural Health magazine, the one where I found your letter and email address. It is under the blurb about " Tastebund Can't Stand the Test of Time " and says in part " But most disorders of smell are more subtle. Zinc deficiency cand ecrase the sense of smell, so the first thing I would recommend is 30 mg of zinc a day. After a month, if there is no improvement, incrase the amount to 60 mg a day, and take 1 to 2 mg copper AT ANOTHER TIME OF THE DAY. (Zinc and copper are antagonists, and takig this much zinc over a long period of time can result in a relative copper deficiency). Jon, is this true when taking zinc 30 mg/copper 2 mg in the same capsule that I just started taking?
