Guest guest
Hi every one...I read in Womens world and It said if you are hypo then you should eat and drink soy products because it speeds up your thyroid! I hope the ones asking about soy arent hyper! That may be a reason you are going a few miles to fast..it might help to stop soy ...i could be wrong so ask your doctor....When i was Hyper i heard it was good to eat and drink soy products..but when i told my doctor he had me stop at once....be carefull ...good luck to u all ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
What was the reason your doctor gave for having you stop the soy? (As I've said before, my Chinese acupuncturist definitely recommended soy when I was hyperT.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
If I'm not mistaken, was just telling us that soy products are to boost estrogen....and he said that hypo's don't need any more estrogen, but that they need progesterone, instead... it is the HYPER'S that need the extra estrogen, which soy is an excellent source . I hope is near by the clarify this, in case I misunderstood.... ? I can't believe that soy is Dangerous for us to take, even if we enjoy it and are hypo. I have eaten and drank the products, and have not had any bad reactions.....yet>.>>>LOL ???? Guest guest
What is " Women's World " ? I don't think I've heard of it. I'd love to see a copy (or quote) from the article that claims that soy increases thyroid hormone output. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
Hi Everyone I am new to the this egroup. All the information has been extremely useful! I am hypo/Hashi and I wanted clarification on ... of all things ... broccoli. I eat it all the time but have read here that it inhibits thyroid production? Can someone clarify this? By the way, 's suggestion to up zinc and copper has done wonders for me! I was taking Armour/2 grains and Synthroid on and off for the last year. Still didn't feel any better ... fatigued all the time. Have been taking 110 mg zinc/4 mg copper for about a week ... haven't had this kind of energy in months. Will keep you posted. Thanks so much ! I finally believe I may find may way out of this thyroid thing!
