Hi ,

Thanks for your speedy response and positive feedback. I'de love to join the

group and have e-mailed to that effect. You mentioned that this is most often

a women's illness and I wonder, other than menstration, if it couldn't also be

brought on by eating disorders. Most woman are always " on a diet " or doing

some form of extreme measure to lose weight and that depletes ones minerals

and immunity! Don't know, it's just a thought. When I was younger I had

bulimia and I know a cousin of mine as well as a friend who were both bulimic

and now suffer from a thyroid problem.

I now eat very healthily but it's strange because even though I am hyper, I

don't seem to lose weight. I have gained 15 pounds which isn't too bad but

it's still a pain in the butt. Got any ideas? My meds at the moment are

0.1mg, not sure if that means anything to you. Apparently they did give me

quite a high dose of RAI because my thyroid was very enlarged and very

overactive. I really wish that I could have tried the holistic method first

but I was given 'doctors advice' and they said to me it would cure everything!

Maybe I just need to be patient and finally they will be find the correct

dosage and I will lead a normal life.

I've had so many tests but I think all my symptoms are probably related to the

thyroid. This Friday I have to see a GI because of my stomach problems. I

feel a constant hunger/burning feeling with cramps and a very noisy

stomach!!!! God, when will this nightmare end. Anyway I'm determined to keep

plugging away.

Thanks once again for the advice and a glimmer of hope. We'll chat soon.

.
