Guest guest
Mercury is extremely toxic - it is used by gold miners for centuries and many of them have neurological and mental problems. ______________________________________________________________________

Guest guest
john - Yes im having really bad neck pain...I was in a car crash in July and hurt my neck around the same time I was told I had Hyper thyroidism. The doctor said my C4 and a few other vertbrays in my neck were injured. I m not sure if this was the cause of my thyroid problem. On friday i will have an MRI so ill see what is really going on with my injury. ive been reading a few of the letters the group and now im starting to understand more about why my thyroid is out of wack. I've been on a diet most my life.....and became serverly anemic im sure my body went crazy since it was lacking so many things. A few weeks ago i started to take Centrum- multivitamin/multimineral formula....it has every thing from a to zinc it has 2mg of copper in it and 15 mg of zinc.....also alot of other things in it. I was wondering if its good to take iodine with a thyroid problem? When i started taken centrum...i started to feel really bad this is when my tsh test started to go HyPo ....so i stopped. Is there some vitamins or minerals that i shouldnt have taken? the doctor put me on Levoxyl 25 mcg...for Hypo thyroidism...im feeling better already but i dont want to have to take this forever...i d rather take vitamins... sorry for a talking your ears off..thanks agian Lorna ______________________________________________________________________
Guest guest
Lorna, I'm not but read your letter since you submitted it to the group. I would have to say that you should keep doing research on your condition. I at one time had Hyperthyroidism and let them do the Iodine 131 treatment which is no longer suggested. You fortunately have the other extreme. Of course I now have the other extreme too. I am taking a Bovine replacement hormone and yes I'm tied to it for now, but I too hope to get to a point where I'm no longer in need of it. My Natropathic Doctor feels I have what she terms " Funtional Hypothyroidism " . This means that my thyroid is functioning, but not at a high enough level. Now from everything I've read Iodine-and will support me on this-is good for you thyroid since it is the raw material for the thyroid to use. I have one last comment on vitamins and then I'll end. I would, if I were you, go to a Multi-vitamin with mineral made by Solaray or Schiff . Find yourself a " Good " Health food store staffed with knowledgable people or go see a Natropath and get a recommendation on supplementation and company. Like I said earlier, read and research. You need to make an informed decision. Dave ______________________________________________________________________
