Guest guest
Hi Bob and everyone, I've been searching for some connection to Bob's thyroid going " haywire " and his getting hypertension and came across something in the 4th Ed. of Nutrition Almanac about excessive copper being a cause of hypertension. As I recall, Bob, you had hypothyroidism. If that is correct, then perhaps your hypertension was a result of excessive copper (from a zinc deficiency). Do you think that that is a possibility? ______________________________________________________________________
Guest guest
Am simply not sure of the correlation between any minerals and a thyroid problem. The kelp seems to help in low doses, don't take any copper at this time, and do take low doses of zinc in the form of a multivitamin or an occassional zinc tab for a sore throat. I do not think that synthroid or other natural thyroid helps me, although it appears to give my wife more energy. ______________________________________________________________________
