Guest guest
HELP!! I am overwhelmed trying to confirm and align coverage for my son to get HBO therapy. He is covered under Medicaid which we automaticly recieved when qualifying for the Community Alternatives Program (CAP-MR) here in North Carolina. He " has " had a quailifying condition that contributed to the brain damage, and CP. (That condition is Ischema which I understand to be a stroke). I think that he may also fall under the Early Periodic Screening and Diagnostics Testing (EPSDT). But the problem that I am having is that the only places that are taking Medicaid ( Hospital Facilities ) will not treat children with CP. The smaller HBO facilites won't take medicaid because the don't want to come up to the Medical Standards, paperwork, and reduced rates, etc. that come with accepting Medicaid. Any Suggestions?
