Despite the melt downs that I've watched on one list just at a time when the

entire community can celebrate the great victory of a Mom, Gilbert,

who was able to take her baby home because the community united behind her,

I have been reminded of the real proof that hyperbaric medicine works.

The miracle is the lives it has touched for good. I've looked at the many

clinics, from the 's in San Bernardino to Hartsoe's Miracle

Mountain, to the several other clinics out there that have started, and the

one in NJ that the Fischbaum's are working at setting up, and the new one

Darin is hoping to open, and I see the same pattern again and again.

People in the community who have the resources making personal sacrifice to

set up a clinic to help others.

Those who don't have those resources have volunteered in other ways.

Freels set up Medicaid for HBOT, Hartsoe has set up his many groups,

Foundations have been set up, legislators have been lobbied, Congerssional

hearings held, homes have been mortaged, retirement funds have been raided,

and parents beg for treatment for their children too.

If hyperbaric medicine didn't work, instead of parents clamoring for more

treatment, they'd be demanding that the attornies general in every state

prosecute hyperbaric clinics for fraud and demand their money back.

It is the same principle we saw in the Cold War, people voting with their

feet, as they still are. Today, parents are voting with their money.

Whether it is parents whose children were helped, loved ones cared for by

family members, or patients themselves amazed at their own miraculous

recovery. The miracle of oxygen saturation technology, to this day, never

ceases to amaze me.

The impact on society of hyperbaric medicine's full implementation as

standard treatment for all of its true indications will be beyond price.

from fighting so much especially at this time of the year. RIGHT?

I would love to hear of some one doing great with the white and gray matter

damaged and parse a global brain injury. Any care to tackle that one???

No , it is for all of the brain injured. As you look at the 2002

testimony you'll see a few children but most are actually adults, like your

son so tragically injured in a motor vehicle accident, much like my son was,

at the dawn of his adult life. Anita just mailed out a set of CDs and she

said your was there.

You'll be pleased to know that because of situations like your son's, 3000

of which happen every day in Oklahoma, the University of Oklahoma has just

gotten a grant to start an Injury Prevention Center at the College of Public

Health. The seed money came from your congressman. The goal is to first

prevent and then treat, through active reforms in the level 1 trauma center

at OU, acute traumatic brain injury, and eventually chronic traumatic brain

injury, right there at the University.

We had discussion with State Medicaid as well, which is very interested in

reimbursing for this treatment. This is one of the Patient's Legal Defense

and Assistance Fund packets that will be prepared.

So, help is on the way for people in Oklahoma. We can talk more about this

Thank you Mr. Duncan for getting back with me.

The only reason I posted any thing on children was because most of the doctors

now would rather treat children because they say they bounce back faster. Low

and behold they do grow up to be adults and then the whole world of Disabled

will change. Nothing is handed to you, you haft to fight for every thing you

need on top of taking care of your loved one. These are things that I have had

to help so many people with here in Oklahoma and it is a every day chore.
