Guest guest
ECT (electro-convulsive therapy for clinical depression) , 100% oxygen, and HBO As this list members may be aware, 100% oxygen is used in conjunction with ECT to I believe help protect the CNS (central nervous system) as well as the cardiovascular system of the sedated patient during the ECT procedure. (I have observed the patients and the procedure in New York City at the New York State Psychiatric Center adjacent to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and the College of Physicians and Surgeons.) Does any list member know of any international study reports comparing ECT with and without 100% oxygen? -- bill van allen
