Guest guest
: You and I have never met in person - so there are a few things that I would like to clarify for you. Anyone who knows me at all, knows that I work everyday - trying to further the hyperbaric field for neurological conditions. I have never changed my stance on that. I made up my mind a long time ago to try to remain neutral and listen to everyone. I have remained on the fence, refusing to jump into anyone's group and ignore or discount anyone else with a differing opinion in regard to HBOT. And, because of this, I have learned that there are two sides to a story - sometimes, many. And, they don't always have immediate and simple solutions. Though you may not always agree with everything someone else does or believes, you pick what fits with your beliefs and let the rest go. I also believe every person has a right to decide for themselves what is best and not just because some group tells them it is. This can be a very volatile field - hyperbaric therapy - simply because of the nature of what we are trying to do. Change the old status quo - re-educate the medical profession and take on the biggest industry in the US - Insurance. So - there is always friction, and factions and fact and even FICTION. I chose to follow no one. Nor, do I chose to be the leader. I want the best information I can get from all sources and yes, there will be times when I may need assistance. But, I chose to be in control of my own circumstances and Bill. What " group " you chose to join is up to each person. I do not recommend any one over the other. Yes, the IHMA has helped (along with many many others) during HB l676 and yes, Dr. Harch and Kevan Corson and Ken Locklear all were there to help with Bill's second round of HBOT which the state of Texas paid for. I have thanked them profusely - but, in case it got lost in the friction, I would like to publicly thank each one of them again. I have tried to repay this generosity by helping others, also. I know that Ed has a long way to go with his bill - but, I would hope that my efforts have helped some. So - I HAVE BEEN supporting the cause of the IHMA by still working with the Texas legislature - working at a national level with my congressman and answering so many phone calls and emails everyday from parents and doctors to the best of my ability. Just because I have not joined the IHMA by sending a check does not mean that I do not support the field or this cause. My reasons are personal and that's my right. Keep up the good work. e Creacy
