Guest guest
I just thought about having 100% cotton clothes for our first round of HBOT. I guess I thought that sweat pants, and sweatshirt were automatically 100% cotton! Apparently that is not the case! I am having a very hard time locating 100% cotton, that does not come in denim. What should I do? Connor and I leave in 6 day's for Canada......... would someone else explain to me the need for 100% cotton clothers? Thanks.... Guest guest
Probably static electricity reduction and the need to avoid a fire. Guest guest
, I was able to find 100 percent cotton pajamas at J.C. Penney in the children's department. I had to go to several different stores before I found them, but they've worked just great. I think they might be termed as lounge wear since pajamas for kids are flame retardant now. They look just like pajamas. :-) Doris
Guest guest
I was told it was because synthetic materials are more likely to produce sparks. This is important when one is in 100 percent oxygen environment. When we did it we also wore tethers that were used for grounding, I think. Guest guest
I went to the goodwill and salvation army and read labels. For about $5 or 10 dollars I got all the cotton stuff I needed. (Had to read alot of labels and T-shirts were plentiful) Hope this helps. Guest guest
Please check the labels. Some t-shirts are 50 polyester-50%cotton. They may not be used. We are very concerned with static electricity being generated in the chamber. 100% cotton clothing is the fabric that has the lowest static electricity. " Joe Boxer " at K-mart has clothing that is 100% cotton...but check the labels! Connie Waltz RN BSN The M. Lombard Hyperbaric Oxygenation Medical Center Inc.
