Guest guest
I have to agree about Dr. Neubauer. My son and I just returned today from Ocean Hyperbaric Institute after having 31 sessions. He is a very caring and capable physician and I am very grateful to him for his assistance and caring advice. Guest guest
, I'm glad things went well for you and son at Ocean Hyperbarics. I hope you were blessed with some quickly and clearly observable improvements. Regardless of whether you see those early results, or not, many kids show a jump in abilities about 1.5 to 2 months after stopping HBOT. Guest guest
, It sounds like you do not see much improvement...... or changes.... Does he appear more alert? Is he fussier? (shows he can tell you want he wants) Does he seem healthier in any way? Has he shown an coordination, or movement changes? Did you get SPECT scans, if so how did they turn out (before and after)? I can honestly tell you that made good changes immediately, but after the first week, I saw nothing else. And, of course, she was fairly tired by the time we went back home. Then, about 1.5 to 2 months after getting home it seemed like she just woke up one morning doing everything a notch better. Everyone noticed it, including her therapists, us, her caregiver, etc. And, many of these changes were subtle, but, they kept building on each other. Today, still has problems with her head control, but she has clearly improved and definitely benefited from HBOT. She has attained a level she could not otherwise have attained and she is clearly much healthier, than she would have been. And, part of the frustrating thing is these kids only go downhill as they get older, even if they overcome their deficits. But, when the child is young we may not realize this. So, HBOT can have helped him a lot even if you only realize this later. From teh 2nd Int;l Symposium, that aggregate of the Dr.s thought that 25% of these kids made very good improvements, 50% good (like my ), and 25% do not show much in improvements. But, I would argue that many of those last 25% are healthier, but it takes a lot more observation to determine how they are healthier, and by how much. and I will say a prayer for (and you) tonight!
