Guest guest
Hey Pat! First may I say: " Yea Lord! " for the improvements you are seeing! I am so happy for you guys! I can only speak of my own experience with HBOT. Once we found the correct depth, after a few treatments I noticed small improvements, i.e. the tremors in my leg weren't as severe as I crutched out to catch the bus. It was easier to get on/ off the bus. My arm didn't flail as much as I tried to extend it to place the money in the fare box. My dexterity was improving helping to hold the quarters, etc.. Later in the day, however, it wasn't as easy. As I continued, the results were lasting longer. Around 17 or so, not only were my symptoms subsiding more, they lasted up to bed time. Finally, around 20 - 25 dives I had carry over into the next morning and beyond! Based on my personal experience and that of 3 other adult patients whom I suggested try this, we found that in the chamber, at depth, we were able to perform movements which had previously eluded us. For example, one man couldn't control his foot. In the chamber, he could and moved it through out the treatment. Another, it was hand/ finger exercises, etc.. Another would sing and work on his speech. I would do quad sets and straighten out my arm, etc.. From speaking with physical therapists, etc., the key is muscle memory/ reminding the body of the correct way to move, I think it is also called patterning. Now, while exhilarating to finally have your body move like a " real person " again, it is a tad bit frustrating when you come out and can't. However, the 3 of us ( I haven't been in contact with the 4th), praise God, were eventually able to perform the tasks outside of the chamber. Regarding children, based solely on my casual observance of a few of the kids in the chambers next to mine, I've noticed how they try to dance and " be bop " to " Barney " or simply play with movements they don't seem to be capable of on the stretcher. The few I have been fortunate enough to run into again months later have been doing these motions outside the chamber, and more. I hope this is helpful and I continue to pray for you guys! Guest guest
Good morning Pat, These gains that you see should become permanent. After " the 6th treatment " and doing very well - this is great improvements. We don't always see instant healing with hyperbaric treatments - all good things take time. Continue with the treatments. ~ Please consider the gift of your signature and review our petition: THE AWAKENING PETITION is at: http://www.petitiononline.com/angel777/petition.html Lane , PhD drlanescott@... Guest guest
I would say, in our experience, we retained 95%, lost a only tiny bit. You can dare to hope. So happy for you! Guest guest
Dear Pat, There are no experts more expert on 's condition than your son's doctor. Nobody can give a really relevant advise from afar, either. This said, something can be advanced: the current dosage of HBO is doing two different things to your son: 1) 'awakening' and stabilizing some areas, hence the awesome gains 2) making him somehow hypersensitive, comparing to pre-treatment. Therefore, the yelling It can be compared to being blindfolded for a time and suddenly being exposed to sunlight: you wince away from the sun, it sort of hurts for a while, etc.. Until eyes (or nervous system, in this case) adjust to the new brilliant condition, it may continue like that. Nervous system may take longer than irises, though. The substance (there is only one component in Ambien, a CNS-depressant) muffles the stimuli, or reduces hypersensitivity, but it hasn't been enough to make him sleep. Bigger doses than usual, to make him sleep in spite of such a special situation, may produce side-effects, though. But... did you say five minutes... five? Such a rapid effect is not officially described (15-30 minutes for sleep to ensue is more like it). Only injected midazolam acts that fast, or faster, that I know of. No oral medication can reach the brain that quickly, unless it were absobed through the tongue. This hypnotic drug does not peak until around 90 minutes after administration, and the effects last another hour and a half in healthy subjects, to dwindle quite soon after. Something else is happening with this pill. Placebo effect? A unexpected selective numbing of the hyperactivated brain areas, with a net result that brings out the motor/coordination/cognitive gains? Hmmm...not described, but it may be... (zolpidem receptors are found primarily on the Lamina IV of the sensorimotor cortical regions, substantia nigra (pars reticulata), cerebellum molecular layer, olfactory bulb, ventral thalamic complex, pons, inferior colliculus, and globus pallidus.) Did you ever mention the currently used HBO protocol ? Guest guest
Apreciado Doctor, 's protocol is 1.3 ATA for 1 hour. Ambien was given via G-tube, don't know if that makes the effect quicker than po. The transformation did happen within 5 minutes, I assure you. Last night's dosage 10 mlg (9:30 PM) produced the following, 2-1/2 hours of wonderful alertness and comprehension. Finally turned out lights at 12 Midnight. At 4:09 AM started the yelling again and all alertness was gone. Decided to give him half the pill at 5:46 AM, and at 5:52 AM the yelling stopped and we are still having a wonderful interaction with as I sit here and write to you. The CNS-depressant you mentioned that is in Ambien, is there something herbal that would replicate the effect? If not would it be detrimental to to continue using Ambien? If continued use, what would be the total maximum mlg in a 24 hour period? Kindest Regards, Pat
Guest guest
Dr. Lane , , I believe is O+. I'm curious what does that have to do with herbals? Thank you, Pat
