Guest guest
Sheila... Yes, Medicaid does or has paid for HBOT. So they probably still have too. From what I gather it's done amazing things producing some spectacular results. Others in VA will probably concur. Guest guest
Hi Sheila, I too live in Virginia, have a child with cp and we have had a total of 62 treatments. I cannot answer the question of will it benefit your child, that is for each parent to judge. In our case we did notice some changes. However, our insurance will not pay for HBO for cp and we have traveled to Canada and to the Baltimore area for treatments, both places however where we went are no longer available. There is a place in Northern VA and another outside of the Hillsville, VA area I believe. You can do a search under the MUMS site...Mothers United for Moral Support, they have a lot of info. I'm not so sure as someone else posted if Medicaid will pay for this. I doubt it. Guest guest
Dear Sheila, the cerebellum is where, among other things, equilibrium is processed, as you surely know. Oxygen now may boost affected areas into better performance and eventual reconnection. Do proceed with oxygen, but gently. In biological medicine, ( but not yet in classical medicine) you can find specific remedies to guide that boosting action further. Organ (bovine or swine) preparations are usual in Germany, Switzerland, Argentina. Some are peptones or lysates, and others are homeopathically prepared. Both have a long history of use, at least in this country. Stem cells are the newest and high-tech (expensive) relative of these remedies. Best regards. Ignacio Fojgel, M.D. Maimónides University Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sheila wrote: > Hi, > > My daughter is 9 years old and has CP. Guest guest
Dear Ms., you could try finding a local physician conversant in -homotoxicological medicine (ask Heel Labs., in Albuquerque, NM), anthroposophical medicine (you could try Weleda Laboratories), and/or peptones and lysates (they originally are Argentine remedies, but they are exported to Mexico and elsewhere.) If animal cerebellar tissues are prepared in the homeopathic fashion (highly diluted), or hydrolised (as to digest them down to its basic but still specific components), they are accepted by the body as information (blueprint) or basic materials for reconstruction or reconnection, so to speak. Results : better functioning, less symptoms, and eventual regeneration. High-tech medicine expects to do it with stem cells, but it will certainly be very expensive, and probably not soon enough. In the meantime you might want to try these fairly inexpensive but time-honored remedies, from medical systems other than academic medicine. Best regards. Guest guest
Dr. Fojgel We weren't able to get back together, but I am very interested in the homeopathic therapies about which we spoke. You said you had some information to give me. Could you please either call me or email them to me. If it is too voluminous, I 'm sure snail mail will suffice. Muchas gracias y mucho gusto!
