Guest guest
, I also feel it is criminal negligence and involuntary manslaughter. The nurse that died last year of lung cancer told a friend on her death bed that the mold had gotten her. Another nurse that died from recurrent respiratory failure never got her L & I claim approved prior to her death. My Internist,ENT, & Pulmonologist are all disgusted. They have treated many of us. Guest guest
Dear Larry, Do you mind if I ask about your situation with being sick and from dealing with the Federal Government? I dont hear much about that. My poor friend Val has it in a building at work but not Federal. State sounds just as bad. I am appalled at the lies and coverups the government will do not to look bad. I recieve leters after letters full of lies to senator, so I chop them and fax them back to senators to show The Portsmouth Shipyard is lying. I am so sick now, not ouit of bed much lately. Guest guest
Dear Janet: Would you mind giving me the name of the lawyer that was willing to take on the Federal Government. I am a victim of a Federal building also. It is the Nassif Building in Washington, DC. Larry N. Guest guest
Dear Janet: I worked in the Department of Transportation's Nassif Building in Washington, DC between 1993 and 1996. I resigned in mid 1995 thinking that I was merely going crazy on my own. I had no idea that the building was doing this to me. Four months after having resigned, 200 of the employees in my section had to be moved to a new location. They were all getting sick. After an OSHA inspection they moved back in the building and again became sick. They moved out again and have never returned to the building. Also, after having had the building declared " Sick " 5300 other transportation employees were moved out and several millions of dollars were spent to clean the 1.3 million sq ft building. Having left before the problem surfaced, I never knew anything about it until late 2001. I have been researching this ever since. You have to be one-of-us to understand the contamination. The sectlion of the building where I spent 2 and 1/2 years was the nest for the entire buildings problem. The eighth floor was awash with Naphtha, Mineral Spirits, Formaldehyde, Carbon Dioxide at very high levels, Legionella Bacteria in the hot water system, Aspergillus Fumigatus, Penicillium Rhodotorula, Penicillium Aerobasidium, STACHYBOTRYS CHARTARUM, Alternaria Alternata, and Dust Mites were present. This building was absolutely filthy as well as being mold ridden. The few inspection reports and past Washington Post articles that I have been able to find or get ahold of, tells of the problems. The firstand most important problem is that the building management had let two of four HVAC's fail. They were not working at all. The other two, were clogged and filthy. This was a quoted on the Senate floor by Senator Keddedy. It was also quoted in committee meetings by DOT Secretary Mineta. Even though my Bosses knew that I had resigned just prior to this finding of the contamination, no government or Nassif building attempted to contact me and tell me about it. They have, in fact, attempted to impede me at every step of the way. I will live with Major Depressive Disorder (recurrent - Moderate to Severe) without psychotic features for the rest of my life. I take high doseages of medications in an effort to keep my sanity. Sincerely Larry N.
