Guest guest
Hi Kim, thanks for being so supportive. You are right, it is always something. Even the little things are soooo frustrating because my plate is quite full!!! If it looks like a mosquito bite on Logan I recommend trying a topical antihistamine (allergy cream) It worked great for Riley and she had a pretty big reaction to a bite that she got a couple of weeks ago. Good luck. Ellie and Riley 4 poly
Guest guest
Thanks Ellie, Unfortunatly it appears to be jra related. He was in a lot of pain today,, his feet don't hurt very often,so I forget he has it there, but today was a very humid, rainy day,and he insisted on wearing socks and " soft " shoes, cause his feet hurt.. Have you ever heard of the backs of their feet hurting? Like their heel? Kim and Logan

Guest guest
Thanks Kim I'm glad the foot story! As for pain in the feet, such as the back part of the heel? YES! I experience pain in the area too. One point in time I would walk on my toes to avoid putting weight on my heels! Big Hugs to Logan, 5 in 6 days! HEY LOGAN! did you see that? 5 goes into 6! Oh and Kim! be sure to give Logan lots of ruffage and fiber in his diet. So he don't have to chew on his brothers ' Cabasa' haha me muy loco en la cabasa! love to all, Uncle Rusty Limbs On Thu, 18 Jul 2002 00:51:55 -0500 Kim D <smithkim@...> writes: Thanks Ellie, Unfortunatly it appears to be jra related. Guest guest
Kim, Buzz had to have inserts made for his feet. His pain was in the lower part of his feet. The arch and heel. He has to wear the tennis shoes with the inserts. When he wears other shoes, like to church, its o.k. But, if he trys to wear other shoes all day his feet will hurt. Buzz's is JRA related. I can't remember the name for it though. Amy and Buzz Re: Riley's feet- Reply to Kim Thanks Ellie, Unfortunatly it appears to be jra related. Guest guest
Kim, I know that Tas for the past 6mos has complained about her heel hurting real bad, to the point she won't walk. But I don't know if it is related to her femur problems. I let Tas wear slippers or no shoes and we just carry her or put her in a stroller. Seems to help. Guest guest
Hi Kim, Riley has never complained about the backs of her feet hurting but again, she almost never tells me when she hurts. When she was a little baby and she hurt herself she would push me away if I tried to comfort her and she would never cry about it. Not very helpful when you're trying to keep and eye on the pain patterns etc. She is my alpha Leo female. It's gonna be a thrill a minute when she's a teenager! I hope Logan's little feet are feeling better soon. Ellie and Riley 4 poly
Guest guest
Robbin, The feet are our biggest problem right now,,that and the fact that the swelling refuses to go away in his right knee. How is ,and what type does she have? Kim and Logan
Guest guest
Ellie, That is what Rusty said,so I looked tonight at Walmart, but they didn't have any. I couldn't find any more slippers either,,I don't know if that is just a Christmas item or what. I'll continue the search tomorrow. If Logan can walk,,we went bowling today, and he fell out of his chair,on both knees !! He cried FOREVER,he has bruises covering his knees, now, and he was limping for a while after that. Like we say " Its always something, huh? " Kim and Logan
Guest guest
Hi Kim, Kids want to be normal soo bad, another thing is pain tolerance.I have wondered many times how can run and jump when his ankle looked awful.I would have been whiney and on crutches. used to hurt so bad that he would scream non stop for hours on end,now even when he flairs he will just kind of moan a little.Alot probably has to do with he doesnt have as many joints hurting at one time. Its very strange how can have one active joint for months on end, lower the pred to much to where he has the fevers and bad rash, and all kinds of things creap up,regain control again and its back to just his lft ankle.Several months ago someone was talking about pain tolerance and was saying how there son was playing under the table and when he came out he had a big black eye and didnt know he was hurt.I think they get so used to being in pain that its no longer pain to them,it has to get VERY bad before they tell you, with the exception of they no just how to push moms buttons when things are not going the way they would like and they want something or just attention.s head rheumy told me to stop looking at the swelling and go by how he feals.Since then we have had 2 long talks about pain tolerance.I look at swelling and how he feals,if its swollen its active and needs to be addressed if there in pain or not.Just like a joint thats not swollen can still hurt.I hope Logan feals good on his b-day,dont let that mean Arthur kid come.
