Guest guest
Hi, My 2yo daughter Sierra, was recently diagnosed with JRA. I am not sure I believe this is what she has. She twisted her ankle back in December and the swelling would never go down. We have now been to an ped ortho surgeon who prescribed a MRI. The report shows inflamed tendins. So, he looks at the films and says - she has JRA. He also had some bloodwork done on her. Her white blood cells are fine. HE said she was just on the border of being positive for ANA - or something like that. I just couldn't believe it - how can one injury bring JRA on. I am so confused - can it start with an injury?? Thanks,
