Guest guest
Hi Elisheva, Funny, isn't it, how that rash just comes and goes? Josh used to get it in a few places on his body but more recently, it's only on his thighs. Like yours. His had never, ever, been itchy ... until we made this most recent drop in his prednisone. Now he's had the rash on his thighs every day since and it's itchy for him (but just some of the time). Used to be it would only appear in the am and then again in the pm. This time around it seems to be staying there for at least a few hours at a time. Weird. If it continues to itch I think I'll have a doctor take a look at it, even though it does appear to be the same exact rash, though. Pinkish and mottled. Not too troublesome, though. I think I preferred it when we had finals right before the holidays. Does give you some extra time for studying, though, in between all of the holiday festivities. Good luck : ) Georgina Hi all,I just finished fighting off bronchitis and then a stomach virus. Thank Gd I'm better now!The cold weather hasn't been so nice to me, but I always remind myself to compare how I feel now to how I felt a year and a half ago (pre-Enbrel), and I really have no complaints! I can live with morning stiffness and periodic discomfort!Anyway, interestingly enough my rash has decided to make an appearance lately. I've always had it off and on (since I was 6, and I'm 19 now!). But really now I have it every day. It itches some, but otherwise it really doesn't bother me. I get it mostly on my thighs. I just wanted to mention this because I know a lot of people were wondering how long their children would have this rash...so I'm here to tell you that it is possible to keep it forever :-). Of course it is not nearly as bad as it has been during flares...I just get splotchy, itchy thighs. Mostly it's just a bit embarrassing during swimming class :-). I still get random fevers every few months or so, which I attribute to good ole arthur.I hope everybody is having a nice holiday season and trying to stay healthy with everything going around. I'm studying for exams, which start Wednesday...wish me luck!Be well,Elisheva(19, sys. JRA since 6; college in NYC....I love to get email! elishevachaya@...)
