Guest guest Posted October 4, 2001 Report Share Posted October 4, 2001 curious about Plaquenil-mainly eye problems and how common they are. is barely 3 and I dont think he is old enough to tell me he has foggy vision or sees halos around lights or any of the other eye problems my P.D.R. lists.I know they are supposed to see an opthamoligist every 3-6 months and they can detect problems early,but still makes me nervous,all these drugs make me nervous.I know s Dr.says he will add another drug if the mtx alone will not help him get off the steroids.Right now he gets 9mg prelone and 15mg mtx being able to go to 20mg.Iam also curious about cyclosporine my P.D.R. gave me the heebie-jeebies,but the patient insert that comes with the mtx made me cry.I am trying to prepare myself ahead of time so I can have some knowledge and say in my sons treatment.If your child doesnt or has not taken either drug i would like to hear about what DMARD your child does take. also takes grape motrin which he tolerates very well and he likes it but are some NSAIDS more powerfull than others?
