Guest guest
Amy, My son (systemic JRA since 9months, now almost 7 years old) had a salmon-pink rash that came and went when he was first ill. I recall a few photos being posted on someone's web site a few years back but unfortunately do not recall where. Perhaps someone else can help. I do remember that because it came and went, the Doctors were very quick to get their cameras out if they managed to catch it! He also had a few lumps/nodules under his skin that came and went too. If I remember correctly, the rash is a significant indication that the patient has systemic JRA. My son was too young to talk when he was first sick so I can't comment on the achey/numb fingers but if you're worried I think you you should keep pestering. Does your son see a Rheumatologist? Best wishes, Oliver can someone answer a question? I have a question. Buzz has been having a rash on the back of his legs and then also on his left arm and left side of his chest. It has come on during the late afternoon and usually fades by morning. It is gone before we can go to the doctor. He says it hurts and stings. It almost looks like heat; but it gets brighter and more distinctive than I have ever seen heat. I just have never seen a picture of the rash I have heard can go along with JRA and don't know if it is that or not. Could it be? Also, since last night he has complained that three fingers on his left hand feel numb and his fingers feel funny. I don't know if it could be the arthritis moving into his fingers or not. His left elbow and wrist have just started swelling in the last week; but I have never heard of anyone saying anything about fingers being numb or feeling funny. His doctor is on vacation so I don't know what to do. I hate feeling like I'm crazy or something running to the doctor with every new thing. I just don't know what else to do. Guest guest
We saw a immunologist a couple weeks ago. We have finally gotten an appointment with a reumatologist we are waiting for that. He is supposed to be wonderful. I have spoken with several people who see him. Amy can someone answer a question? I have a question. Guest guest
Amy, Best of luck. If Buzz has JRA it is generally agreed he will need specialised and aggressive treatment from Rheumatologists, Physiotherapists and others. Our medical team in London, England has worked wonders. Guest guest
Amy, finger numbness, elbow and wrist swelling, as long as there is good coloring in his fingers. Then I would say, just another symptom of jra. I have finger numbness as well , the eye problem may be Iritis, I had same thing at the onset of my jra. As for fash, take a photo of it when it is at its brightest, so you can show it to the Dr..

Guest guest
, thank you. The coloring is still good. His fingers are swollen this morning; but the coloring if fine. Thank you. I am calling his eye doctor this afternoon and getting an appointment. I don't know why I didn't think about taking a picture of the rash. I will have to do that when it comes back. Thanks again. Guest guest
Hi Amy I dont know if you have found a answer to your rash Question yet, but my son had the rash and it did the same thing as it would flair in the pm and be gone by AM. We took photos since at that time he had not been diagnosed yet (systemic JRA). The photos were very helpful since the rash was almost always gone by the time we got to the DR. --- amyluker@... wrote: > I have a question.
