Guest guest
, have you talked with your doctor about this swelling and stiffness? You say, " I am only 23 and I feel like I have arthritis. " Even children can get some forms of arthritis, and some forms are autoimmune diseases. Or, it could be something entirely else. Prednisone can mask pain; sometimes when Prednisone is reduced or eliminated, existing problems are revealed through pain. Your doctor is the best person to help you with this. I'd call soon. You need to find out what's causing these symptoms. Best wishes. Harper [ ] swelling/stiff hands Hello everyone I wanted to know if anyone has experienced swelling and stiff hands and feet upon waking, I first thought it was a side effect of prednisone but now that i am off that med I still have swelling and stiffness. This is a little depressing since I am only 23 and I feel like I have arthritis. It is somewhat crippling. It does improve after 30min or so but does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve or manage this problem. I try to watch my salt intake but I'm not even sure that the swelling is directly correlated with my sodium intake. How can I deal with this? ~
Guest guest
the thing is that the swelling and stiffness has persisted through my treatment and remission, so it seems unaffected by medicine, I just emailed my doctor, I was thinking about trying out an over the counter duretic would that be bad??? > > > , have you talked with your doctor about this swelling and stiffness?
