Guest guest
Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and say ahead of time I will probably be here alot as time permits. My husband, 32 years old, was diagnosed with AIH 5 years ago. He has had more blood and platelet transfusions than I can keep track of. As well as all the normal tests and procedures that I am sure most of you are familiar with. We have a 22 month old daughter and last week we were told he has definitely progressed from living with liver disease to living with liver failure. The doctors at the hospital he goes to for his liver are not even considering putting him on the transplant list because he has been quite non-compliant and in denial of this illness. However, we are now at or beyond a turning point and I am scared whitless... Anway I was looking for a liver support group and found you all...I hope to be here quite a bit. I will read and post as often as time allows but I make no promises as to how often that will be, just know that I am pulling for anyone who is battling this horrific illness and if there is something I can help anyone with, I certainly will offer that assistance. Thank you...
