Prednisone withdrawal smyptoms

Hello to all and I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I am

tapering off prednisone, went from 15mg every other day to 10mg on

Dec 1 and will drop to 5mg on Jan 1 as ALT and AST remain in normal

ranges. I will stay on 100mg of Imuran. Since the beginning of

December I have noticed that I am getting arthritic pains and

swelling in my hands, with pain in the arms and legs. It is like a

burning sensation which is getting worse at night(affecting sleep of

course)and first thing in the morning. It is also winter in Canada

and I wonder if the cold is a factor although I make sure to bundle

up and wear gloves. Also the brain fog seems to be getting worse - I

can be in the middle of a sentence and the words I want just

disappear. I would love to hear from others who have tapered off

Prednisone and how it affected them. Take care one and all
