-the symptoms that you're describing can be treated with medication; being

unable to sleep can be treated with Ambien. You may be still be fatigued during

the day just due to the disease. But it's worse to feel like that all day & then

be unable to

sleep. Some doctors may give antidpressants, too. You didn't say what type of

cirrhosis your father has. So, now your oldest son has it, which type is that?

You sounded so upset & frightened. I don't want you to worry about everyone

getting this disease. My mother has PBC & had a transplant 10 yrs.ago. I was

diagnosed with the

same about that time. I am 1 of 6 kids and no one else has it.
