Guest guest
My hep cited this article in developing my treatment plan. Have any of you heard of it? " A very current update on autoimmune hepatitis was published in " Gastroenterology " just recently (July 2010, Volume 139, No. 1, pages 58-72) by one of the world's leading experts on autoimmune hepatitis, Dr. Albert Czaja). For patients with an " incomplete " response, the recommendation is to use prednisone in combination with Imuran or 6-MP but at a dose of 2 mg/kg of body weight. Based on your current weight, that would be 150 mg daily of 6-MP. In your case, I would highly recommend increasing the 6-MP to 150 mg daily (since you have been tolerating this fairly well) before trying a medication like Cellcept. " He said he would send me the article; it was published in a professional magazine available only by subscription.
