Guest guest
My eight year old son has vitiligo and has had it for about two years now. He was thoroughly checked for any thyroid disease and according to his pediatric endocronologist, he is not likely to get the disease either. I found this diagnosis interested, but his doc said one can be tested to see if they are prone to the disease. He also said that while people with Grave's Disease can also have vitiligo, he said there is not a connection and that vitiligo is not an autoimmune disease. Most autoimmune diseases are organ related and stated three that weren't (which I can not recall.) My son is being treated with an external cream called pseudocatalase. The reasons why individuals lose pigmentation is because their body does not produce enough catalase which is a natural chemical in the body that produces melanin. The cream is catalase based with the intent to increase the catalase in your body. This is a relatively new therapy which is prescription based and is not available at all pharmacies. We order ours from out of state (I don't have the name of the pharmacy readily available) and the cream lasts for 30-45 days because the cream does not have a long shelf life. It costs about $36.00 plus s/h. and the cost of the cream is covered by insurance although the s/h is not. My son has been using the cream for two months and it is difficult to measure its success because he trys to avoid using it and doesn't always use it twice a day as prescribed. It works best with sunlight. We were told it would work pretty quickly and we have seen some color return although slightly, probably due to his lack of use. The white spots don't bother him as much as putting the cream on does. I am being more careful about applying the cream so I'll have to see if the improvement increases. His skin is fair to begin with so it is only with the tanning from the summer months that makes his condition noticable. Deb
Guest guest
Hi Deb, Yes it is true that not all people with vitiligo have Grave's disease, however it is interesting that many people with thyroid disease (both hyopo and hyper) or other autoimmune diseases develop vitiligo. There is evidence of a connection between the nutrient deficiencies of vitiligo and thyroid disease and that is what I am interested in working with. Being the largest organ, the skin, is a indication of health and I find it curious that at 41, I am developing these white spots nearly overnight. There is much debate over autoimmune diseases and if there really is such a thing. Regardless, I view anything in the body that is not a natural state as being worthy of a nutritional investigation. Searching the internet I found several case histories where people that were treated with natural methods experienced the return of pigment. Good luck to your son and l'd like to know if you find any successful nutritional treatment for this illness. Ann

It's not a problem I've developed (yet...), but I'd be interested in the URL's for the sites for those case histories you mentioned. Something to add to my web site for those who might need it. Thx! Guest guest
I carry a product that has been reversing Vitiligo in an acquantance who is an acupuncturist. It is a spray under the tongue taken with an Immune modulation product. Within a few months her hair started to grow back, her skin returned to normal and she has had no reoccurrence. Email me off list if your client is interested. www.advancedbiofeedback.com

Guest guest
Regarding the Vitiligo, Hamer Conflict is: I want to bleach myself of something dirty that I have made to someone else. Jean- Lavoie Vitiligo I wrote about the Vitiligo and supplementation I had found that worked on it. I personally answered several people from the list who asked me for it but perhaps it was deleted as spam or somehow never received. So I will say it here for the list. I have a friend, an acupuncturist, who has suffered with Vitiligo for many years. She has had no luck finding help either through allopathy or alternative health methods. She began using 2 products, one an Immune Modulator that has specific ingredients for detoxifying the system and a serum that has to be processed and bottled in a vaccum to maintain the active ingredients. One ingredient, perflurodecalin was developed by the Department of Defense to treat wounds in the battle field so they healed faster. It works to hyperoxygenate the skin from the inner layers to the top. It will take several months, but it will work. My friend began using both products and in less than 3 months began to see visible results, patches grew smaller as pigment began coming back. By 5 months the patches are almost completely gone. This company is the only company in the United States at this time who has the right to distribute the perflurodecalin. The serum usually lasts about 2 months, the Immune 30 days. Of course, if it is large patches, the serum would not last as long. I have found that anyone with any skin condition is responding to this protocol, eczema, psoriaris, acne scars, other scars, granulomatosis if given enough time. Because it works internally it takes some time before visible results are noticed. If anyone wants more information please contact me again or see my website. Please, if you decide to order, you must be able to receive shipment in the states. The company is offering a special to anyone who signs up as a partner, allowing you to distribute this in your practice or personally, you get a free bottle of the serum for $29.95. This is the best deal as it retails for $65. The Immune product retails for $60, but with autoship it is $48.00 It works, it has eliminated my eczema and my Fibromyalgia. The QX is wonderful, but it is not enough. Guest guest
Hi n I had surprising results with someone who only came for a few sessions of general balancing, but continued taking a multivitamin (Viridian) that contains 150mg Vitamin B5 at breakfast time as well as B complex containing 200mg vitamin B 5 at lunchtime. She also took 1000mg vitamin C daily as well as 2 x 1000mg omega 3 daily. Initially nothing changed as far as her skin was concerned, only improved energy and general well-being. After 12 months the patches of vitilogo suddenly started shrinking and she noticed improvement almost weekly. The condition has not completely gone, but the results are remarkable and noticalbe. Guest guest
Hi n What about checking for long term parasite infestations of the skin? Also check miasms for leprosy or measles that may be contributing to the skin ailments being experienced currently. Work on relieving liver stress. Hormone issues could be contributing to the problem from the age parameters you have mentioned. I am interested in vertilago and I am glad you brought it up.
