Can AIH be misdiagnosed as fatty liver

Hi,

I am still in the diagnostic stages of all of this. At 17 I was told that I had

fatty liver and again at 31. In May I was given an ana test and the titre 1 came

out 1:640 homogenous and the titre 2 was 1:320 coilin. I contacted the lupus

foundation because a large number of my family have lupus and they did not know

what the coilin was. On Sept 2 I saw a Rhuemy and he did not know what it was

either and retested me to see if it was an abnormality from the lab. So far I

have back the results for ALK Phos 122 u/l rng: 35-104, AST 41 u/l rng: 0-32,

ALT 70 u/l rng:0-33, creatine 0.5 mg/dl rng: 0.6-1.2, bilirubin 1.2 mg/dl rng:

0.2-1.2, leuko esterase UA trace, protein negative, urobilinogen normal,c4 40.7

mg/dl rng: 10.0-40.0. Does anyone know what coilin is - and yes if you do a

search on it you will see me trying to find an answer with no luck,

Thank you

Kristi
