yellow eyes

I have a question for anyone that can answer it.My eyes have been burning and

itching really bad for about 2 weeks now. I had my Granddaughter-in law to look

at them last night and she said they had some yellow down at the bottoms of

them. I don't have my levels checked until next month. They were down on my last

visit to the Dr..What turns yellow first/ Eyes, hands or what ? My skin isn't

yellow..My bilirubin has to be up right ? Answers Please.......Dianna(AR)

Dianna, Yes.you have signs of jaundice. Your skin is also probably jaundiced

but you can't see it.............often we just get a tanned look......we don't

often turn yellow or orange until end stage.but the eyes show it easily. Don't

panic........... a month is ok. I would however call the doc's office and

leave a message for him/her that your eyes are now yellow. Joanne C.

My GI told me that if I looked yellow at ALL...I needed to call her ASAP. It

couldn't hurt to call.
