We've never had much in the way of therapies so we had no need there. I have separated the medical binder by specialist. has had many. I also have a section where I record illnesses. I started it when tracking fluid in the ear and ear infections. I keep a list of all the medications that have been given, what it was given for, and the result. Mostly for behavior meds but useful with antibiotics and asthma or allergy meds also. Of course, I have the list of vaccinations. I also have a list of current drs and a list of all past drs. Where different evals and procedures were done. My educational one I just keep info about IEPs that I have collected, current IEP, ideas or concerns for next IEP. I'm sure it will evolve as your needs change. Karyn
Guest guest
I have always kept all copys of labs and anything else that is of 9mportance. I even have all the copies of the transcript of my transplant surgery and the entire stay and all that went on. I have filled up many a folder and notebooks since I started this back in 1982 when I was first diagnosed. I just have the docs send me copies of all my labs when they are done... and paid the hospital for copies of my transcripts for my stay and the surgery. Always remember..this is your body and you need to be in control of what is going on....is better to be aware and wise then blind and iller....feel free to ask any questions here..nothing is silly to ask..and ask your doctors..remember YOU are paying THEM money to help YOU. Guest guest
hi its 11 or until the child is 25ACCORDING TO BDA ETHICS GUIDLINESIdeally, for medico-legal purposes, dental records (including radiographs andstudy models) should be retained indefinitely. For the purposes of theConsumer Protection Act 1987 they should be kept for at least eleven years foradults, and, for children, for eleven years or up to age 25, whichever is thelonger. Personal representatives can take legal action in respect of a deceasedpatient, although in dentistry this is very rare. Records for deceased patientsshould therefore be retained for the same periodBEST REGARDSEBTISAM From: pearltooth32 <pearltooth32@...> Sent: Thursday, 22 March 2012, 10:20 Subject: record keeping Hi All Can you tell me what the time limit for record keeping.
