Guest guest
I will tell ya... I know people that are on 50 mg of imuran and weigh my same wieght..so I am not sure its based on your weight. I think it based on your numbers on your blood work on what mg you take.....Every Dr is different though. As far as the imuran helping flare ups ..not sure on that either...I didn't like the Prednisone..but I tell ya..it sure helped me as far as pain in my joints...imuran doesn't help my joint or body aches...it just keeps my liver panal within normal range..which is a GOOD thing...=) Take Care, Kathy Live Simply,Love Generously, Care Deeply, Speak Kindly, Leave the rest to GOD.... Maybe he could up my dosage and these little flares would go away. I'm calling him today and when he says to go back up on the Pred, I'll ask him. LOL, not that I ever get to actually talk to him, just someone from his office. Gee, first they stopped making house calls and now they don't make phone calls. Pretty soon we will just have to use email. LOL, not that I would mind that at all. > > > >Patsy > >El Mirage, AZ > >DX 2005 Stage 1 PBC > >AIH/SLE/RA/COPD > >Just a woman of letters.... > > > >
Guest guest
My son weighs about 30 pounds and is on 25 mg of imuran. They told us that there is still room to go up if necessary, but so far, it seems to be working like a charm. Re: [ ] Re:Azathioprine/Imuran dosage I will tell ya... Guest guest
Patsy, For whatever it is worth, my hepatologist ups my Imuran and prednisone when I have a flare-up and then weans me from the prednisone completely and leaves me on the new higher dose of Imuran alone. This has given me years of coasting without flare-ups. I am currently on 100mgs of Imuran and may go higher and I am your same weight.
