He arrived safely yesterday afternoon and I just can't tell you how thrilled and relieved I am. He's looking GREAT! Now that the horrible nasogastric tube is out, he's eating like a horse! Just in a few hours yesterday he ate biscuits, fresh summer fruit, steak, potatoes and asparagus for dinner. I think he's loving the flavours after months of bland hospital food. > >Daryl is just so glad to be home, he walked round and around just taking everything in. Secretly I think he was convinced that he might never see home again. "Everything looks so different!" he kept saying yesterday. Guest guest
anne, what a wonderful Christmas present for you both! It is amazing how a loved one's illness can really put into perspective just what is important in life! We all need to remember to cherish every minute we have with each of our loved ones because we never know when that minute may be the last one. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.
