Guest guest
A Warning to BI Women & Bleaching Teeth Hi Ladies, Last week I went in for bleaching of my lower teeth, and my dentist is quite aware of my silicone BI problems. However, I forgot to 'remind' him of my Silicone BI problems, and, after they gave me an intense 2-week jump-start on the bleaching, they gave me an apparatus to hold the bleaching gel to my teeth during my sleep time. After the second night, I woke up with a huge lower lip, and realized I forgot to remind them I was allergic to silicone, and I'm certain that's what my lower teeth tray is made of, as it's the same consistency, etc. I don't fault my dentist, as he's great, I fault myself for not remininding him of my problems with silicone, and I'm certain they could have made the tray of something else. I will let him know Monday, yet this is just another example of how much we must take control of our own health problems. This is the best dentist I've ever had, however, he's only human and cannot recall everything about every patient, nor does he have the time to read my entire file before he looks in my mouth. We must all learn to take more responsibility for our own health!
