Guest guest
Hello to All, Today is the 4 year anniversary of Randy's and my surgery. In some ways it seems like another life time and yet in others it seems like yesterday. We are continuing to be blessed with good health and happiness. When we look back at the odds, we know someone else had us in His plans... we were merely the pawns. We give thanks for each and every day we have and have learned to just live and enjoy the life we have. Who would have thought when we chatted 4.5 years ago we would be where we are now? We keep all those who are sick in our thoughts and prayers as well as the donors, donor families and those who have waited but did not receive the call in time. I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to help a fellow person have the chance to renew their life. A gift given out of altrustic love and compassion-- who would have thought that gift would came back a hundred fold over. I just wanted to share with you our special day... and to Randy: Life is good McCullough........ Cheryl
Guest guest
Just curious, at the time you had your MGB, how much of your intestines did they bypass? I'm wondering if that makes a difference in the long term. in St. Louis MO 2/3/04 Dr. H 235/199/??? > Hello all! I am trying this for a 3rd time! Guest guest
Karla, Congrats on your 4 yr anniversary. I am very interested to hear if you had a problem loosing your baby weight after each MGB baby? I'm close to my 1 yr anniversary and would like to loose about 30 lbs more before I consider getting pregnant. My first pregnancy (before MGB) I gained 35 lbs and never lost it. I too have had a problem with being anemic so I'm concerned about that as well. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Guest guest
Congrats Karla...I has certainly been a wonderful, full 4 years for you, hasn't it. Congratulations! 4 year Anniversary Well, everyone it's been 4 great years since my dance with Dr. R. I owe him my life. In that 4 years I have lost 188 pounds and gained a wonderful husband and two beautiful MGB babies. I Have recently had all my blood work checked and everything was great other than my iron level was low. Being anemic has been the only problem I've had since the MGB but I was known to be anemic at times before I had the surgery. I had my apron of skin removed on the 18th of May and it took 10 more pounds off. I was able to get insurance to cover it because I had multiple infections that they had problems getting cleared up. I was unable to afford having a full tummy tuck done due to the fact that we are getting ready to move but I still want at least one more baby so it wouldn't have been a good idea to go with the full tummy tuck anyway. I don't get a chance to post often due to being so busy with the kids but I do try to keep up on all of the posts. I look forward to seeing all of you at the picnic. THANKS for all of your support and friendships. Love and HUGS, Karla Attamack 8/4/00 364/176 1st MGB Baby 6/16/02 2nd MGB Baby 6/27/03 Zachary
