Guest guest Posted September 9, 2003 Report Share Posted September 9, 2003 Hi Debby.....what a disappointment after going to the gym for 2 months. Like you, I was on pred a long time & am on 6mp. Weight was a real issue with me. Ive always been reasonable...5'6" 10 stonish before pred but the weight piled on so I stopped weighing myself. I was a real apple shape...all boobs and stomach & no hips. Ive never gone to a gym or really done focussed exercise as I still get fatigued too much, but weight slowly came off when I started getting my garden back into shape over a couple of years...digging weeding etc as I was determined to see some flowers blooming again. Ive just had a chat with my daughter who's an exercise freak and she says you may be doing the wrong things at the gym. The stomach area apparently is the hardest area to lose excess and she says sit ups (what a scream !) and swimming. Im a skinny now, 8+ stone but cant eat a lot of foods still because of nausea.At one stage I was desperately trying to put weight on. Actually 2 months isnt a long time I would relook at it in 6 months. Isnt there a saying somewhere that excercisers put weight on before showing a loss?
