Why is prednisone such a crazy drug?

Sophia, what do you mean by this?  Is this a rhetorical question?  Or are you

asking why we say that?  We say that because of the side effects.  While

prednisone is very helpful for most with AIH because it surpresses our

overactive immune systems, it is possible to have some side effects, which you

can read about on the web at sites such as

There are other side effects if it is not tapered very slowly.  

If you mean something else by your question, please clarify.
