Guest guest
balanced! Re AIH / CD: It certainly is, Harper. Because all I have is my opinion and not proof, and because I want to know the truth, I decided to search under " untreated autoimmune disease trigger another autoimmune disease " and found this paper (Do that search and scroll down to the 5th article in order to read the whole thing).: Systemic autoimmune disorders in celiac disease by A Fasano - 2006 " Coexpressed autoimmune diseases or (2) untreated celiac disease leading to the onset of other autoimmune diseases. This article reviews the current ..... This paper reports the effect of the celiac disease trigger gliadin on macrophage .... " This study would seem to support your thinking, Harper and Sabine. This is a fascinating subject. Here's another which supports your theories even stronger: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12655265 Autoimmune hepatitis, cryoglobulinaemia and untreated coeliac disease: a case report. (2003) Not wanting to spend an hour on this, these are the only two I read and they are both dated. Hope somebody finds a study dated 2009 or 2010. I love learning new things, and thanks for the stimulating discussions, ladies. It has been very interesting. And as we have learned, we can ask two different specialists and get two different answers, but I'm swaying toward becoming a convert!
