Guest guest
, I recently had my gallbladder removed. It wasn't such a bad experience. I healed quickly. I was having very bad chest pains and was taken to emergency twice (to make sure it wasn't my heart). I have not had any bad chest pains since it has been taken out. I also was taken off of my Fosamax at the same time. It is true, so the doctor said, that the liver takes on additional work, but it is safer to have the gallbladder removed if it is truly your problem. I am a little confused, has the doctors ruled out PBC or AIH? What makes you feel you might have either of the two? Hope the gallbladder removal takes care of your problem. Wishing you well. Ellie ________________________________ From: momcb12 <momcb12@...> Sent: Tue, March 23, 2010 9:53:56 AM Subject: [ ] Amber and JoAnn - Really confused!!!  Thank you to you both for responding to my message. I am so very confused as they doctors keep telling me I am fine except my gallbladder. All my family and friends keep saying the same thing too.....so I am really at a loss and feel really alone. I guess I will have my gallbladder removed. The only thing is I do not have any gallstones just some sludge the doctors say. Like you all say, you know when something is not right with your body. Not sure why we can't find it. I am really thinking autoimmune issues either PBC or AIH. I have read that you can test positive ANA, SMA or others one month and the next you don't. I have test positive once so far with SMA. So who the heck knows. I have so many questions so I thought I would run a few by you all. Do any of you have white streaks in your nails coming from the distal nail (white ends of your nails) running vertically into the pink bed of your nail? I have had this for about 5 years now. No-one has any ieda what it is. Any ideas? I am worried about the after affects of removing my gallbladder with having to run to the bathroom right after I eat. I do that sometimes now but not very often. Any experience with this ladies? Also by removing the gallbladder, does'nt it put more work on the liver? Obviously, I don't want to stress my liver out any more that it already is. Thanks again ladies, I really appreciate your help. Oh and JoAnn the list of docs you gave me has only one doc for my state and I have seen this doctor and I did not like him at all. His PA laughed at me when I said this was my liver.....needless to say I left that office so upset and furious. My gallbladder surgery is scheduled for 4/8/10. SO am waiting patiently for it. Hope you all have a wonderful week and stay healthy!!!
